Strong Communities Start HERE!

The gym transforms bodies. At the Y we transform lives.

As a charity, the Tri-County YMCA of New York is dependent on contributions from many areas, including unrestricted gifts, memorial gifts, Annual Community Campaign, and Endowment gifts.

Annual Community Campaign

Each year our YMCA goes out to the community seeking charitable contributions to help our YMCA meet our mission of serving our area fully. Contributions range from $25 to the Chairman’s Round Table level of $1,000 or more annually. These funds play an important role in assuring that all seeking our services have the opportunity to participate through a very active scholarship program based on household size and household income.

Memorial

A gift made as a special way to remember a friend or family member in a positive manner.

Unrestricted or Restricted

Unrestricted: A gift made for use at the discretion of management to best meet the needs of the organization.

Restricted: A gift made for a particular purpose identified by the donor. If the organization accepts the gift, it has an obligation to honor the donor’s restriction on the use of the gift.

Endowment

Our YMCA has an active planned giving program called the Heritage Club. Members of the Heritage Club have made a commitment either through estate planning or a direct gift to the organization. These gifts are designed to assure a strong future for the YMCA, generating a source of investment income annually available for operational purposes.
